A Note From Ashley Joy

I wrote this book for trial attorneys.

For years, I owned a women's boutique, Very Ashley, where I styled women who were leaders in every sense of the word. Executives. Entrepreneurs. Politicians. Women walking into high-stakes rooms with real consequences attached to their presence. Over time, I began to notice a pattern. These women were brilliant, powerful, and driven. But their appearance had quietly slipped to the bottom of the priority list. Not because they didn't care, but because they were busy building something bigger.

Nowhere was this more evident than with trial attorneys.

They were preparing for depositions, managing clients, crafting arguments, and carrying the emotional weight of other people's lives. Their days were filled with deadlines, responsibility, and pressure. By the time they thought about themselves, there was often little time left to do much more than get dressed and move on to the next obligation.

And I noticed them - really noticed them - because one of them was my mother.
